Perfumes, Eau de colognes homemade

Luce, 4711, Gegenuber, Lily of the Valley, sports perfume & more...

In many cosmetic recipes, it is simply indicated: perfume as desired. It is possible to compose perfumes yourself from the components. In general, however, this does not bring any benefit. The slightest mistake can render a large amount of expensive essential oils useless.

Making a perfume that really satisfies, at best costs a lot of time and money. The industry is also able to supply very good perfumes for normal products. If a large company wants a special perfume, this can be worked out by a professional.

Composing an eau de cologne is possible according to the following recipes, which can of course be changed according to taste.

The essences must stand for at least several weeks before use. To make a normal eau de cologne, dissolve 25 g of essence in 1 l of alcohol. The alcohol is diluted to 85 or 90%. If necessary, a few tenths of a percent fixator is added, for which an odorless resin fixator can be used or Mecca balm, ambra tincture, musk tincture or benzoin tincture.

The eau de cologne then remains quiet for a few weeks and then usually becomes completely clear. If not, it is filtered.
